Lee Gunter–Celebration of his life–technology genius
I had the opportunity to work with Lee Gunter when he was a vice president of the Shure Company–and also served on a number of boards with him. He was a walking genius and a wonderful friend and I miss him a great deal but he contributed many of the technologies that we’re using today. I want you to share some of the highlights in the celebration of Lee Gunter’s life.

Home Health Care Monitoring
Home Health Telemonitoring
Working in conjunction with Medicaid and Hospitals’ Home Health, eHealthcares.com is a program that provides hospital home care with the best of both worlds: the comfort and independence of staying at home, and the security of daily monitoring and proper medical attention.
How It Works
The system consists of a Compact Monitor and Scale, Blood Pressure Cuff and Pulse Oximeter, which is placed in the patient’s home.
In three minutes, the system collects a variety of vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, body weight and temperature every day.
The data is sent via a telephone line to nursing monitor stations, where a nurse reviews this information 365 days a year and responds appropriately. If there is a change in the health status or nurse, the patient contacts their physician to promptly address needs.
